virginiaVirginia M. Robinson, President & Attorney Founder

Ms. Robinson is a former business manager and non-profit executive who successfully combines her years of accumulated business acumen with her legal experience to offer affordable and quality legal services to individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Robinson completed her undergraduate work Suma Cum Laude at Whitworth University in Organizational Management. Her pre-law experience includes ten years in contract administration for the entertainment industry and ten years in publishing management. Virginia graduated with a Juris Doctor from Gonzaga Univeristy School of Law in 2005, and served as law clerk for the Honorable Lansing Haynes, First Judicial District of Idaho, for two years. Now, after practicing in private practice, she has formed Attorneys Northwest, Inc., an Idaho non-profit corporation. The mission of Attorneys Northwest, Inc., is to fill a void in the legal services available in the community by making quality legal representation available at more affordable rates.

Ms. Robinson's areas of practice include: Business law; elder law; entity formation; guardianships/conservatorships; contracts; education law; churches and other non-profit organizations; real property disputes; consumer law; franchise agreements; employment law; IT and other service agreements, civil litigation; small business representation; advising regarding small claims matters; document drafting; probate; wills, and Constitutional law.

Brandie J. Rouse, AttorneyBrandie photo resized

Ms. Rouse has spent her legal career working in the criminal and family law arenas. Brandie has dedicated much of her careeer to public service and has joined Attorneys Northwest, Inc., to help fulfill our commitment to increase access to justice for families by offering legal representation at more affordable rates. Ms. Rouse completed her undergraduate studies at New Mexico State University and received her Juris Doctor from Gonzaga School of Law in 2001. Prior to joining Attorneys Northwest, Inc., Brandie served as a Deputy Public Defender for Bonner County, Idaho, and as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Columbia County, Washington.

Ms. Rouse draws on her own experience as a married person and mother of four to provide zealous legal representation in all areas of domestic relations. Brandie's areas of practice currently include child custody and support; paternity law; guardianships; adoptions; and limited criminal matters, including DUI Defense. In an effort to obtain a fair, affordable and more amicable resolution to an already stressful and difficult family matter, Ms. Rouse is also available to help couples obtain an uncontested divorce or a collaborative child custody/support agreement. Ms. Rouse is licensed to practice law in Idaho and Washington.

Brian D. Long, Attorney

Lifelong North Idaho resident, Brian Long, brings to Attorneys Northwest, Inc., 25 years of experience as abrianfamily law and criminal defense attorney. Mr. Long earned his J.D. from University of Idaho School of Law. He served as a deputy public defender for several years working in the Twin Falls County and Kootenai County Public Defender's offices, where he tried more than 80 jury trials. Thereafter, he worked in private practice for several local law firms, opening his own firm, Brian Long PC, in 2003, where he practiced for 13 years, and ultimately joined our team at Attorneys Northwest, Inc., in 2016. Mr. Long comes to Attorneys Northwest, Inc. with a desire to help level the playing field for all citizens who need access to the legal system.

Brian's extensive experience in the family law and criminal defense arenas, as well as his life experience as the oldest of 8 children, gives him unique insight into creative solutions to many family law issues and the experience to litigate a legal matter proficiently. Brian's current practice areas include child custody and support, divorce, child protection proceedings, domestic violence protection orders, landlord/tenant matters, guardianships and adoption proceedings, and criminal defense


Katherine Oliviér, Firm Administrator

Ms. Olivier graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Sciences with an emphasis in Business and a Non-Profit Business specialty and holds the position of Firm Administrator. Katherine provides essential functions in the operation of Attorneys Northwest, Inc. including managing the administrative, marketing, human resources, and financial operations of the Firm including development and fundraising activities.

Her previous experience includes over 6 years as a civil litigation paralegal and law office manager.  She is proud to be part of this team of professionals that makes legal representation possible for more members of our community. Katherine is dedicated to our mission and has worked for our firm since its inception in 2015.

Darcy Johnson, Senior ParalegalDarcy

Coeur d'Alene native, Darcy Johnson, brings to Attorneys Northwest,Inc.extensive experience and education and serves our firm as Senior Paralegal. Ms. Johnson graduated with highest distinction from Walla Walla College with a Masters of Science in Social Work after obtaining a Bachelor's of Science degree in accounting.

Darcy's experience prior to joining Attorneys Northwest, Inc. includes fifteen years as a paralegal, several years as a child and adult protection investigator, certified professional child custody mediator, child custody evaluator and court expert. She has served as a court appointed visitor in over 450 cases. Darcy's board experience includes service on the Child Abuse Task Force and the Kootenai County Board of Guardians. Darcy is an integral part of our team at Attorneys Northwest and provides vital support to our attorneys and clients in the elder and family law arenas. She is committed to our mission and eager to offer her services to our community.


Amy Crooks, Paralegal

Ms. Crooks worked in sales and manufacturing for 19 years prior to pursuing her paralegal certification at North Idaho College, where she earned her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies, and amyultimately joining our team at Attorneys Northwest, Inc.  Amy's work and life experience combined with her education and 20 years of Idaho residency make her a valuable asset to our team as a legal assistant. Amy was drawn to Attorneys Northwest, Inc.'s mission and particularly enjoys helping the working class of Idaho.

Alishia Strange, Legal Assistant


Ms. Strange comes to Attorneys Northwst, Inc. with over 10 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in Idaho.  Her previous focus has been serving our community in the criminal sector for the indigent as a Senior Legal Assistant at the Kootenai County Public Defender's  Office.  Alishia is committed to aiding those in our community that seem to fall between the cracks in the justice system.  Ms. Strange serves our firm as a Legal Assistant and Receptionist where she provides excellent customer service to our clients and facilitates in the education and explanation of the services our firm provides to our community and potential clients.

Rosie Michaelis, Translator


Ms. Michaelis spent anumber of years workingin the hospitality industry as a certified travel agent. During this time she gained extensive knowledge of client services and administrative support that has allowed her to uphold the highest level of customer service. Rosieis fluent in Spanish which allows her to reach out to members of our community that might not otherwise have access to legal help due to a language barrier.
